Glitter, Sparkle, Twinkle HTV… What’s The Difference?

What’s the difference between Siser’s three most dazzling HTV’s: Glitter, Sparkle, and Twinkle?

Let’s start by finding the similarities between all these products:

  • They are all Heat Transfer Vinyl
  • They can be cut on any vinyl cutter
  • They can either be applied with a home iron, a heat press, or a Cricut EasyPress
  • They work on the exact same fabrics: cotton, polyester, and poly/cotton blends
  • None of them will “shed” glittery flakes after the application – which is great news for those of us who don’t want to deal with glitter on literally everything

With so many glittery options now available, how do you choose the right one for your project? We’ve put together all the information to help you choose!

Will it be Siser Glitter, Sparkle, or Twinkle? Maybe all of them?

So what is the difference between these three types of glittery HTV? The biggest difference is in how they look.

Siser Glitter is a thicker material with a textured, almost sandy, feel to it when applied.

It cannot be layered on top of – but you can use it on top of other types of HTV like Easyweed.

Glitter has one of the largest color option in the catalogue: it comes in 48 vibrant colors.

Another great feature of Glitter is that you can actually sublimate on 2 colors: White/Rainbow White! This feature is unique to the Glitter and cannot be done with Sparkle or Twinkle.

It is Oeko-Tex certified. This means they are safe to use for children’s clothing.

Siser Sparkle is the thinnest glitter material available. When applied, it is super smooth to the touch because the glittery flakes are embedded in the material.

Sparkle is very special because it can be layered on top of – just like EasyWeed!

We also LOVE the Sparkle Clear Glitter: you can use this color to give Easyweed a totally different look by layering it over your favourite color or adding it as an accent in certain areas.

Siser Twinkle falls somewhere in between the two other options but with a unique feature.

The glitter flakes inside the product have reflective properties; when the lights hit the material, you’re going to see the smooth silicone finish pop.

Twinkle is not as thin as Sparkle, but not as thick as Glitter. It cannot be layered, but like the Glitter, it can be used as a top layer over Easyweed or layerable HTV types.

Now you just need to try all of three and find out which one is best for you!!
