Pre-iron the t-shirt to remove any wrinkles or moisture. If you want to find the center of the shirt, fold it in the half and iron/press a crease line down the center. Next, fold and crease Metal’s carrier then line it up with the t-shirts crease line (usually about 3 fingers down from the collar).

HOME IRON
1. Place the garment on a hard, flat surface (ironing board not recommended)
2. Set home iron to cotton setting. No steam
3. Press iron firmly for 10 seconds on entire design. For large designs, press 10 seconds each section
4. Peel carrier cold
5. Cover with parchment paper and slightly move the iron throughout the entire design for 15 seconds

HEAT PRESS
1. Place the design on the garment
2. Apply design at 150°C for 10 seconds (medium pressure)
3. Peel carrier cold

#3: How to Wash & Care Metal HTV

After the application, wait at least 24 hours before washing. We suggest to wash inside-out at max 40°C to protect your project.

Metal is not suitable for dry cleaning.

#4: How to Layer Metal HTV

Metal looks amazing when paired with other heat transfer vinyl, don’t be afraid to combine colors and effects to create a unique look!

Use in conjunction with other materials such as EasyWeed®, Glitter or StripFlock® Pro for awesome designs that hit on multiple levels!

However, keep in mind that Siser Metal is layerable as a TOP LAYER ONLY, so make sure not to place any other HTV on top of it when creating your design.

# 5: Tips & Tricks

If you want the Metal HTV to stay as shiny as possible, avoid pressing it a second time.

If you like the more hammered Metal appearance, then feel free to re-press the Metal sections as well when applying the other HTV.
