What is Cricut EasyPress?
Cricut EasyPress is an aluminium heat plate with a ceramic non-stick coating that combines the speed of a heat press with the convenience of an iron.
The two heating elements snake through the plate, creating perfectly even heat and flawless, long-lasting transfers, even after repeated washes.
Cricut EasyPress is lightweight, portable and compatible with Siser heat transfer vinyl.
To give you pro-level heat-transfer results at home, here are three conditions that must be met:
*A firm, even surface
A waist-high table is perfect.
Great examples you have at home: craft table, kitchen table, wood table
What to avoid? Ironing board, corrugated cardboard
It is recommended the use of a suitable protective mat. The layer on top of your foundation must be heat-resistant and wick moisture.
Great examples you have at home: a fluffy cotton bath towel with even texture (8 centimeters thick)
* Exact temperature
Use the Heat Transfer Guide to get the perfect time and temperature settings for your project. Simply select the material to be used and the fabric to apply.
* Even heat
Apply heat to both the front AND back of the design for the recommended amount of time.
If the image is larger than the heat plate, cover the largest possible surface for the recommended time, then move the heat plate to the remaining part of the design for the recommended time.
Use Cricut EasyPress to apply PS Film, PS Electric and Glitter 2: you will notice how the material perfectly adheres to fabric texture and does not float above the fibers.
Always remember to apply heat to the back of the design as instructed, it is fundamental for the success of your project because it allows the thermo-adhesive layer to merge with fabric fibers.
We recommend to wait 24 hours before washing for a proper crystallization.
