SUPPLIES USED FOR THIS PROJECT:
– P.S. Film Extra
– P.S. Lumen
– Nylon drawstring backpack
– Siser Weeder
– Scissors
– Plotter cutting machine
– Parchment paper
– Heat Transfer Pillow
– Heat Press
PRO TIP:
When applying on nylon, remember to make the P.S. Film Extra your first layer, then you can layer other materials on top.
PREP
For a successful application, make sure to test the Heat Transfer Vinyl on your nylon item. In the case of the nylon drawstring bag, you can turn the bag inside out and apply a scrap piece of htv in a corner or on a edge.
CUTTING
Cut P.S. Film Extra and P.S. Lumen with the carrier side down
APPLICATION
Make sure to slip a Heat Transfer Pillow inside the bag. Why?
The drawstring that runs along the top would cause uneven pressure that could damage the adhesion to fabric.
Since both material apply at the same temperature, set your heat press to 160°.
Cover the design with parchment paper and apply the first layer for a few seconds and carefully remove the carrier hot. Add your top layer and apply for the full 15 seconds and peel the carrier hot.
